COMMODORE'S CORNER

Wow. It’s hard to believe it’s really my time to start writing this column! It seems like only yesterday we were at Doug’s Change of Command. This has been a great year for our club. I want to thank Doug, the Officers and the Board, all of the committees who’ve worked so hard this year, and of course, Eileen, for all of her support to Doug. We have the best group of employees and members anywhere. We are indeed fortunate!

March 15: St Patrick’s Day dinner/ dance. Bill and Nina Kelley and their committee will have a great evening for us!
March 16: Children’s Easter Egg hunt. Pat and Howard Hochman and committee are already getting eggs and goodies prepared!
March 21: Annual “Ham Shoot” from your House Committee
March 29: All Hands on Deck!!! for the Dock Day! Time to prepare for the boats. Yes, Virginia, summer is coming!
April 5: Change of Command

Kathy and I have been hard at work getting all of our committees put together, and we’d like to thank all of you who have so generously volunteered your time and services to make this year another great one at the Westerly Yacht Club. It’s so wonderful to be a part of such a great group of people. Thank you for your support and your friendship.
