Swimming Pool Rules

State Regulations
1. Bathing before pool entry: Persons will bathe with water and soap before entering the pool. Towel Dry Completely.
2. HEALTH PROBLEMS: Any person known or suspected of having a communicable disease or open wounds shall NOT use the pool.
3. Yelling, spitting, blowing the nose, or urinating in the swimming pool is prohibited. Running, boisterous, or rough play is prohibited.

Club Rules
1. Keycard is required. Members shall not lend their card to anyone.
2. NO LIFEGUARD IS PROVIDED. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
3. LIMITATIONS ON THE NUMBER OF GUESTS: No person shall be admitted as and registered as guests more than 12 times a year or more than twice in any given month, with the exception of sons and daughters of members up to the age of twenty-one (21). Except by prior agreement with the House Committee Chairman, the number of guests of each member is limited to four (4) during any one visit. Guests must be registered in the book provided.
4. Member's guests MAY NOT REMAIN IN THE POOL OR ON CLUB PROPERTY if the member is not present.
5. CHILDREN IN THE POOL: Children under the age of sixteen (16) may not use the pool unless a parent or grandparent is in the pool area. Members shall be present with guests at all times.
6. Swimming alone is prohibited.
7. Children under the age of sixteen (16) may not use the pool between 8 P.M. and 10 P.M., except Sundays. This shall be "quiet time" for adults.
8. Infants and children of "diaper age" must wear a diaper specifically made for swimming (such as "Swimmies") while in the pool. NO EXCEPTIONS.
9. HOURS: The pool is open between 9 A.M. and 10 P.M. No one other than the maintenance personnel shall be in the enclosure after hours.
10. The House Committee and club officers shall have the authority to close the pool if deemed necessary.
11. SEASON: the Board of Directors shall determine the pool season. Weather and pool readiness are factors to be considered.
12. RESTRICTIONS: No diving or Jumping, access to and from the pool should be via the steps or ladders. No throwing stones, coins, etc. into the pool. Food shall not be brought into the fenced area, but consumed at picnic tables provided outside the fenced area. PETS, GLASSWARE, BOTTLES, KNIVES, UNDERWATER BREATHING APPARATUS, RAFTS, MATTRESSES, AND ANY OTHER DANGEROUS EQUIPMENT WHICH COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PERSON(S) USING THE POOL OR TO THE POOL ITSELF ARE PROHIBITED. Remove jewelry that may cut the pool liner. Life rings are for emergency use only.
13. Alcoholic beverages shall not be brought to the pool or it's area unless purchased at the WYC bar. ALL alcoholic beverages shall be purchased at the bar.
14. Playground sand must be showered off before entering pool.
15. No dangerous play or running on the cement apron.
16. Anyone crying "HELP!" in jest or with malice will be banned from using the pool.
17. During cleaning, treatment, and inclement weather no one is allowed in the pool area.
18. SHOWER RULES: Members and guests using the showers in the club shall leave them clean and pick up all personal belongings. An adult shall accompany children in the showers.
19. Members and guests using the pool shall not use the clubhouse before dressing.
20. No swimwear is allowed inside the club.
21. Members in bathing suits are required to use the bath facilities in the North side of the clubhouse only, and enter it from the outside. All deck rules shall be followed. Portable Johns are available for use behind the barbecue pit.
22. Space can be limited on hot or muggy days. Groups or families should not take over all areas for seating. Allow everyone to have equal access to seating and the pool. Please use good taste and common sense. Please control the children under your care. Kindly place your towel on lounge chairs prior to use in order to keep them free of tanning lotions and body odor.
23. The pool is for the use of members and their properly registered guests ONLY.
24. No one renting the hall or barbecue pit shall have use of the pool. The pool shall NOT be rented to either members or private parties.
25. No coolers are permitted in the pool area. Alcoholic beverages must be purchase from the club bar. Coolers may be kept in the picnic area.
26. Trash and cans shall be place in the proper receptacles only.
27. Smokers shall put butts in the proper receptacles only.
28. No incontinent person, regardless of age, will be allowed to use the pool.
29. Each member and theirs guest are responsible for their own valuables and possessions. The Club is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any personal articles lost or stolen.
30. A pay telephone is available. 911 may be dialed without inserting coins.
31. Don't go in the pool with suntan lotion on. Shower first to keep from staining our liner.
32. To help keep costs down, and enjoyment up, please be considerate of others, and clean up after yourselves.
